From the Nashville International Airport (or if approaching Nashville from the east on I-40):
To Entrance 1, 2, 6, or 8
- Leaving the airport, merge onto I-40 west toward Nashville/Memphis. Stay in the middle or left lane.
- Take Exit 213-A (off to the left) and merge onto I-440 West. Follow signs that say “Memphis/Chattanooga”.
- After 3/4 mile, take exit 53 (off to the right) onto I-440 West “Memphis”.
- Off I-440, take exit number 5 onto I-65 south to exit 74B “Old Hickory Boulevard West/Brentwood”.
- Exit 74-B goes directly onto Old Hickory Boulevard. Continue along Old Hickory Boulevard 6.5 miles. After crossing Hillsboro Road, you will be near the entrances to the grounds.
- For entrances 1 and 2 continue on Old Hickory Blvd.
- For Entrance 6, after crossing Hillsboro Road, turn right off of Old Hickory onto Chickering. Turn left off of Chickering into Warner Parks and follow signage.
- For Entrance 8, at intersection of Old Hickory Blvd and Hillsboro Road, turn left onto Hillsboro Road. Proceed down Hillsboro Road to Sneed Road, off Sneed, turn onto Vaughn Road.
To Entrance 4, 5, or 7
- Leaving the airport, merge onto I-40 W toward Nashville/I-65/I-24.
- Follow signs for I-40 west toward Memphis.
- Follow I-40W approximately 15 miles; take the Hwy-251/Old Hickory Blvd. exit, exit 199.
- Turn left onto Old Hickory Blvd./Hwy-251. Continue to follow Old Hickory Blvd. until it dead ends into Hwy-100.
- Turn left onto Hwy-100.
- For Entrances 5 and 6, Turn right onto Old Hickory Blvd./Hwy-254.
- For Entrance 7, proceed on Hwy-100, entrance will be on right.
By Interstate:
The Steeplechase grounds at Percy Warner Park are located on the southwest side of Nashville. Directions to the grounds are dependent on your parking location and the entrance number for that parking lot. The appropriate entrance can be found by looking on your parking tag. From the east, coming into town on I-40, you can use directions for approach from the airport.
To Entrance 1, 2, 6, or 8
- These entrances must be approached via I-65 to Old Hickory Blvd.
- From I-65 take exit 74B “Old Hickory Boulevard/Brentwood”.
- Exit 74-B goes directly onto Old Hickory Boulevard. Continue along Old Hickory Boulevard 6.5 miles, crossing Hillsboro Road, and you will see on your right the entrance to the Grounds.
- For Entrance 6, turn right off of Old Hickory onto Chickering. Turn left off of Chickering into Warner Parks and follow signage.
- For Entrance 8, at Old Hickory Blvd and Hillsboro Road, turn LEFT onto Hillsboro Road. Proceed down Hillsboro Road to Sneed Road, off Sneed, turn onto Vaughn Road.
To Entrance 4, 5, or 7
- These entrances must be approached via I-40 to Old Hickory Blvd.
- From I-40, take Hwy-251/Old Hickory Blvd., exit 199.
- Turn left onto Old Hickory Blvd./Hwy-251. Continue to follow Old Hickory Blvd. until it dead ends into Hwy-100
- Turn left onto Hwy-100.
- For Entrances 5 and 6, Turn right onto Old Hickory Blvd./Hwy-254.
- For Entrance 7, proceed on Hwy-100, entrance will be on right.
