General Admission

HOW CAN I PURCHASE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS? You may purchase General Admission tickets during Phase III beginning Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. or on race day. All General Admission tickets are sold online at www.iroquoissteeplechase.org.

WHICH AREAS CAN I ACCESS WITH MY GENERAL ADMISSION ARMBAND? You may only access the General Admission area. General Admission tickets are for seating on the hillside only and do not grant you access to any tailgating areas or any other area of the Steeplechase grounds.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS AND INFORMATION? Your General Admission packet will be mailed to you the last week of April. Tickets purchased during the final sales phase (on or after April 24, 2013) must be picked up at the Will-Call location on Highway 100.

WHERE IS WILL-CALL AND WHEN IS IT OPEN? Will-Call is available on (location and times subject to change):

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 11, 2013
8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: Will-Call tent will be located on the Steeplechase Grounds at Entrance 7 parking lot off of Highway 100.

CAN I PURCHASE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS ON RACE DAY? YES! General Admission tickets may be purchased during the hours above. CASH ONLY.

WHAT RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLY TO THE GENERAL ADMISSION AREA? See General Admission Information, Rules and Regulations.

WHERE DO I PARK AND IS THERE ADA PARKING AVAILABLE? Guests will be able to park in the Entrance 7 lot which is located on Highway 100, north of Old Hickory Boulevard. There will be complimentary shuttle service from the Highway 100 parking lot to and from the General Admission area beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day until 6:00 p.m.

The ADA Parking lot is located on the east side of Gaucho Road, near the Hospitality Village tents. This lot is reserved for people who have the government-issued ADA placard or license. You must show your armbands to security in order to gain access at Entrance 5. Guests parking in this lot must travel to the site using Vaughn Road or Old Hickory Boulevard via Highway 100 and must enter at Entrance 5. To exit this lot, guests must turn right onto Gaucho Road and then turn right onto Old Hickory Boulevard or travel straight onto Vaughn Road.

WILL THERE BE ACCESS TO TAXI CAB SERVICES ON RACE DAY? Yes, be responsible and saddle up with a designated driver or utilize one of the taxicab services. General Admission guests parked in the Entrance 7 lot (General Admission and Stirrup Club guests) will depart the grounds as they came in, via the shuttle service. Taxicabs will be stationed in the Highway 100 parking area. Cars may stay on the grounds until noon the following day, May 12th, or vehicle will be towed at owner’s expense. Iroquois Steeplechase is not responsible for cars or any personal items left overnight.

MAY CHILDREN ATTEND THIS EVENT? All children are welcome to attend the Iroquois Steeplechase. Children 12 and under will need to be present at Will-Call to receive their armband, at no expense, to gain access to race day. Children 13 and up will need to purchase an armband to ensure their entry.

WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE GENERAL ADMISSION AREA? General admission guests are welcome to bring in picnic baskets, beverages, blankets, lawn chairs, and just about anything else you can comfortably carry. However, please remember that glass is not allowed.

DO GENERAL ADMISSION ARMBANDS ALLOW ME TO ACCESS THE TAILGATING AREAS? No, general admission armbands only allow access to the general admission seating area on the hillside near the box seats.

WHAT IS THE HUNT CLUB AND HOW DO I GET TICKETS? The Hunt Club is a private tent located in the Hospitality Village, offering continuous beverage service and a gourmet catered lunch; this option provides some of the most exclusive race day offerings. Click here for more information. Hunt Club

WHAT IS THE RAIN POLICY? The Steeplechase will run rain or shine, and refunds are not available for inclement weather.

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR RACE DAY?

8:00 a.m. RV tailgating and General Admission open
8:30 a.m. Inside the track tailgating opens
(Topside, Centerfield, Infield Stretch, The Turn, and Midfield)
9:00 a.m. Stirrup Club tailgating opens
10:30 a.m. RV and ‘inside the track’ tailgating vehicles must be in place
11:00 a.m. Stirrup Club vehicles must be in place
11:30 a.m. Turf Club and Hunt Club tents open
12:00 p.m. Lot M parking vehicles must be in place
Iroquois Society and Paddock Club tents open
12:30 p.m. Opening Ceremonies
1:00 p.m. First race begins
There are 7 races with approximately 40 minutes between each race.
Approx. 4:30 p.m. The races end with the featured race, the Iroquois.
Iroquois Society, Paddock Club, Turf Club, and Hunt Club tents close.
7:00 p.m. All guests must be off the grounds by dusk.
Vehicles may be left on the grounds until noon the next day. Any remaining
vehicles will be towed at that time.
