Dress for Steeplechase Day: Looking Good and Doing Good

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 20, 2012 – Looking good will feel especially good on April 27, as four premier Green Hills stores will give customers a chance to support the Iroquois Steeplechase with every purchase made toward creating their perfect race day ensemble.

Dress for Steeplechase Day is a one-day, all-day event in which ten percent of all day-of-business profits from the following stores at the following times will be donated to the Iroquois Steeplechase:

  • Gus Mayer, an upscale specialty boutique located near the Mall of Green Hills (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Clothing and millinery designers Hilton Hollis and Christine Moore will be on hand to help customers select the perfect race day ensemble.
  • The Perfect Pair, a refined harbor of stylish shoes and accessories located in the Bandywood shopping area of Green Hills (10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
  • Private Edition, one of the nation’s most prestigious cosmetic retailers located in Grace’s Plaza in Green Hills (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Shoppers will also receive 20 percent off purchases of Therapy Systems Skincare and Color products at Private Edition on April 27.
  • Omega, one of the world’s leading watchmakers located in the Mall of Green Hills (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.). Omega will be donating 10 percent of proceeds from April 27 to May 27 to all steeplechase patrons who mention the Iroquois Steeplechase, and 2012 Featured Artist Rachael McCampbell will also make an in-store appearance at Omega from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to autograph posters.

“We are thrilled that these stores have made the Iroquois a part of their business in such a special way that involves customers and racegoers,” said Iroquois Steeplechase Executive Director Libby Cheek. “This will be a great event for those looking to finalize or find the perfect steeplechase outfit, and we hope our fans support the first ever Dress First Steeplechase Day on April 27.”

In addition, The Mall at Green Hills is giving shoppers a chance to win a $500 mall gift card. Shoppers can register for a chance to win at the mall Information Station near Nordstrom on April 30 and can also register on race day at their booth located in Centerfield near the information and boutique tents.
